OBIT SUTTON, JULIUS JOHN SR.

SUTTON, Julius John Sr., ("J.J."), 60, of 809 E. Main St., Bedford, died Wednesday, September 15, 1993, in the VA Hospital in Salem. He was born December 25, 1932 in Elizabeth City, N.C. to the late Anthony Sutton and Sarah Jackson Sutton. He was a disabled veteran and served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Anna Lowry Sutton; two daughters, Sherree Sutton O'Brien, and husband, Edmund, Utica, N.Y., Juanita Sutton Smith, and husband, David, Bedford; four sons, Julius J. Sutton Jr., and wife, Pam, Roanoke, Edwin J. Sutton, Bedford, Calvin A. Sutton, and wife, Shirley, Lynchburg, Anthony (Tony) Sutton, and Colleen, Amherst; one sister, Marjorie Sutton; stepfather, Harry Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday 2 p.m. at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery in Bedford. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
