OBIT BARNETT, NANCY SHAVER

BARNETT, Nancy Shaver, 57, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, September 16, 1993 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Barnett was born in Montgomery County on November 4, 1935. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Dove Shaver. Surviving are her husband Homer Barnett; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda B. and Michael Lee Dowdy, Newport; her father John H. Shaver, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 1993, at 11 a.m. at Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church with the Rev. John M. Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
