OBIT FADDIS, ELMER GLEN

FADDIS, Elmer Glen, 83, of Rt. 1 Woodlawn, died September 15, 1993, in Twin County Community Hospital, Galax. He was born in Carroll County October 6, 1909 to Steve Faddis and Alice Carpenter Faddis. Mr. Faddis was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, and also a member of the Hillsville Masonic Lodge #193. He is survived by his wife, Lou Harris Faddis, Woodlawn; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Lois Faddis, Daleville, James and Sue Faddis, Galax; sister, Agnes Gillespie, Galax; grandson, David Faddis, Akron, Ohio; several nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, September 17, 1993, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bill Edmonds and Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax.
