OBIT DAVIDSON, NANCY RAGAN

DAVIDSON, Nancy Ragan, 65, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., formerly of Lexington and Hampton, Va., died suddenly September 14, 1993, at her home. She was the wife of the late John K. Davidson Jr., also of Lexington. She is survived by four children, Lucy Wisner of Westminster, Md., John K. Davidson III of Macon, Ga., Jean Churcher of Macon, Ga., and Allen R. Davidson of Richmond; a sister, Jean R. Woodson of Lexington; ten grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Allen E. Ragan and Charlotte H. Ragan of Lexington. Mrs. Davidson, who until her retirement, was guidance director at Lindsay Junior High School in Hampton, Va., was a graduate of the University of Miami of Ohio and received her master's degree in education from the University of Virginia. During her retirement she was active as a member of the Sevier County (Tenn.) Senior Citizen's Club, performing regularly with the club's Good Time Band. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gatlinburg, Tenn., where a memorial service is planned Friday, September 17. Burial will be in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Lexington, Va., with a graveside service scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, September 18. The Rev. David R. Cox will perform the service.
