Bouldin centenial

Bouldin Memorial Presbyterian Church in Patrick County celebrates its centennial Sunday with worship beginning at 11 a.m. History highlights program will start at noon and potluck lunch on the grounds is scheduled at 1 p.m. The church is at U.S. 58 and Virginia 640 at Stuart.

\ Bob Jones III to talk

The Rev. Bob Jones III, president of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., since 1971, will speak at Barnhardt Baptist Church at Stewartsville Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. The third generation of his family to head the fundamentalist Christian school, Jones has led its expansion from 100 to several thousand students. -Staff report \

Pipe organ to perform

The 67-year-old pipe organ of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, which has been expanded and refurbished over the past two years, will be featured at the first of the church's Fine Arts Series of concerts. It will be Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. at the church at 402 Second St. in downtown Roanoke. Richard Cummins, organist, will perform. An offering will be taken.
