WOMAN, 19, SAYS 2 MEN RAPED HER

A 19-year-old woman told Roanoke police early Friday that she was raped by two men in a Rutgers Street apartment.

The woman said the men raped her while she slept, and that she learned of the offenses after she woke up. Another woman in the apartment told her about the rapes, the 19-year-old said.

Police said the woman had been drinking and fell asleep Thursday night on a bed in the home of a man she knows.

After the woman was raped the first time, she and the witness said, another man who stopped by to visit also raped her.

The woman was experiencing pain and other symptoms when she awoke, and went to Community Hospital after being told what had happened, police said.

Police were called to the hospital to investigate about 2 a.m. No arrests had been made Friday.
