OBIT COLLIER, JACOB M.
COLLIER, Jacob M. ("Jake"), 71, of Bent Mountain, died Thursday, September
16, 1993. Jake was a lifetime member of the Bent Mountain Rescue Squad and was
a retired machinist from Plastic Products. He was preceded in death by his
son, John R. Collier. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Lancaster Collier;
his son and daughter-in-law, David M. and Shirley Collier, Floyd County; his
grandsons, Rene J. Collier, Troy L. Collier, Jacob (Brad) Collier; two
brothers, Edgar L. Collier, Vinton, C. H. Collier Jr., Logan, West Va. Funeral
services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel Sunday, September 19, 2 p.m.,
with the Rev. Denise Huffman officiating. Interment in Rest Vale Cemetery,
Floyd County. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the
Bent Mountain Fire Dept. or Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends
Saturday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel.
