Miss Kate Porter Boyd and Mr. Harry Hunter Allen III were married September 19th in the Boxwood Garden at Evelynton Plantation. Rev. William Smith Wells performed the ceremony. The matron of honor was Mrs. Michael Joseph Monfalcone, sister. Bridesmaids were Miss Kimberly Ann Maruszewski, friend, and Miss Rachel Allen, sister of the groom. The best man was First Lt. Guillermo Canado, friend. Ushers were Mr. Adnan Kadir and Mr. Carl Andrew Overstreet, friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edmunds Boyd, Jr., of Richmond, Va. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College and is employed by the City of Bedford. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hunter Allen, Jr., of Bedford, Va. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College and is employed by the Bedford County Public Schools. The newlyweds will live in Bedford.
