AUSTIN-SHOEMAKER

Melissa Elaine Shoemaker & Timothy Wayne Austin were married September 11, 1993 in Glade Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Robert Williard. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The maid of honor was Allison Shoemaker, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Amy Craft, friend of the bride, Tracy Moore, friend of the bride, and KeriRobertson, cousin of the bride. The flowergirl was Brittany Hodges, friend of the bride. The best man was Wes Eames, friend of the groom. The ushers were Ricky Shoemaker, cousin of the bride, Brad Akers, friend of the groom, andAnthony Johnson, friend of the bride and groom. The bride wore a white satin gown accented with hand cut insets of beaded schiffli embroidery and medallions with a semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of pink and white silk roses and lilies.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Shoemaker of Glade Hill. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Virginia Western Community College. The bridegroom, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Austin of Rocky Mount, is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is employed by MWManufacturers. The newlyweds will live in Rocky Mount, Virginia after the wedding trip to Williamsburg, Virginia.
