CRONISE-PAINTER

Amanda Michele Painter and Robert Marshall Cronise were married September 18 in Northside Christian Church. The officiating clergymen were Paul Hatfield and Dr. Glenn Tabor. The reception was held at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel. The maids of honor were Robyn Nixon, friend of the bride, and Melissa Painter, sister of the bride. The matron of honor was Sharon Powell, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Painter and Rhonda Painter, sisters-in-law of the bride, Suzanne Hatfield and Shannon Clements, friends of the bride. Flowergirls were Whitney and Katelyn Powell, nieces of the bride. The best man was Stephen Cronise, father of the groom. Ushers were David Cronise, brother of the groom, David Hicks, friend of the groom, Gary Powell, brother-in-law of the bride, Michael Painter, brother of the bride, David Painter, brother-in-law of the bride, and Greg Tinsley, friend of the groom. Ringbearer was Derek Painter, nephew of the bride. The candlelighters were David Hicks and Greg Tinsley. The guestbook was attended by David and Sylvia Shell. Vaunda Leftwich was the consultant/coordinator, and Dody Matze was the director. Bob Bardsley greeted and handed programs to the guests. Train bearers were Ryan and Zachary Powell, nephews of the bride. The bride wore a white Mori Lee satin alencon lace gown with beautiful portrait collar, heavily beaded bodice fitting princess style. A cluster of roses on satin peplum accented the cathedral train trimmed in exquisite pearls and lace. Her headpiece was a crown of roses, embellished pearls accenting and gathered pouff in back with floor length veil delicately scattered with pearls and sequins. She carried a cascading bouquet of silk gladiola blossoms, beads, ivy, fresh stephanotis and trailing with gold ribbons. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Painter, of Roanoke. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hambrick and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Painter. She graduated from Northside High School and is employed by First Union Bank. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cronise, of Roanoke. He is a grandson of Mr. Robert Lewis and the late Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Frances Cronise and the late Mr. Cronise. He graduated from Northside High School and is employed by Virginia Fiberglass. After the wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
