POFF-WEEKS
Renea A. Weeks and Ray E. Poff were married September 18, 1993, in
HurtUnited Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Oakes, uncle of the bride, and
the Rev. James Hassmer officiating. Thereception was held at Altavista Country
Club. The bride's attendants were Mrs. Tony Yeatts, Mrs. Jim Lambert, Miss
Debbie Marshall, friends of the bride; Mrs. Jim Bowers and Miss Michelle Poff,
sisters of the groom; and Mrs. Stanley Weeks, sister-in-law of the bride.
Junior bridesmaid was Katrina Thacker, cousin of the bride. The guestbook was
attended by Lisa Bowers, niece of the groom. The best man was Mr. Robert N.
Poff, Sr., father of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her father,
Mr. John Weeks. The ushers were Jim Bowers, brother-in-law of the groom; Bob
Poff and Paul Poff, brothers of the groom; John Weeks, III, Marty Weeks and
Stanley Weeks, brothers of the bride. Junior usher was Michael Bowers, nephew
of the groom. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weeks of Hurt.
Shegraduated from Gretna High School and Roanoke Memorial School of Nursing.
She is employed by Fairfax MemorialHospital in Fairfax. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson Poff, Sr. of Roanoke. He attended Cave Spring
High School and graduated from Virginia Tech School of Engineering. He is
employed by Interferometrics in Vienna, Va. Following their honeymoon to
Myrtle Beach, S.C., they will reside in Fairfax, Va.
