SURRATT ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Harry P. Surratt, Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 13th. A surprise luncheon celebrated for family and friends was held at DJ's Restaurant on September 11th, hosted by their children. The couple were married September 13th, 1943 in Willis, Va. by the Rev. Waddie Akers. They have 2 children Mrs. Jim (Betty Coulthard of Marion, Va. and Harry Surratt, Jr. and wife Janet of Roanoke. They have 3 grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Coulthard, Harrison Reedi Surratt and Elizabeth Scott Surratt.Harry is originally from Sylvatus, Va. and is retired from Mick-or-Mack Stores. Gladys is the former Gladys Reed of Willis, Va. and is retired from Halmode Apparel. They attend Williamson Road Church of the Brethren.
