OBIT MARKHAM, HOWARD OSBORNE
MARKHAM, Howard Osborne, 80, of 127 Verbov Ave., Colonial Heights, died
Saturday, September 18, 1993 at the Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond. A
native of Botetourt County, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Howard
and Lena Overacre Markham. He was a former Millright Machinist for the Allied
Chemical Company. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Branton Markham of
Colonial Heights; one son, Howard L. Markham of Colonial Heights; two sisters,
Mrs. Edmonia M. Grissom of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs. Eunice M. Webber of
Brookneal, Va.; four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m.
on Sunday, September 19, 1993 at the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church,
with the Rev. Michael Fitzsimmons officiating. The family will receive friends
following the service until 5:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on
Monday, September 20, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Sherwood Burial Park
in Roanoke, where friends may call on the family at 1:30 p.m. Funeral
