OBIT RENZ, VIRGINIA MAY

RENZ, Virginia May, 77, of Christiansburg, died Sunday morning, September 19, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Austin Renz and was retired from the New York City Public Library System. Survivors include a niece, JoAnn Sprochi of Lorain, Ohio; two God children, Edward and Valanda Nelson of Christiansburg; other relatives in Buena Vista and Christiansburg. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, in Sunset Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society, P.O. Box 287, Blacksburg, VA 24063-0287 or to a favorite charity. Friends may call Tuesday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
