ALLEGHANY BEATS BATH

Tracy Cummings scored 15 points and Trisha Rice added 13 as Alleghany trounced Bath County 64-30 in a non-district girls' basketball game Monday night.

The Mountaineers (5-1) used a full-court press to limit the Chargers' and hold Bath County's Ricketta Ricketts to eight points.

Jenny Deeds led the Chargers with 10 points. \

MARTINSVILLE - The Spartans avenged a 23-point home loss by winning on the Lancers' court in a non-district game. Sherrie Johnson led Salem with 27 points, Heather Moore added 20. Torsheda Dillard's 15 points led Laurel Park (4-2), Toy Perkins added 14 and Tanesha Hairston added 13. \
