ZOELLER IN TOWN TODAY

Fuzzy Zoeller, winner of the 1979 Masters and 1984 U.S. Open, will tee it up with 10 area club champions today in the 12th Tee Off for Sight golf tournament at Hunting Hills Country Club.

Zoeller will play six holes with each of the three groups of 1993 club champions. The champions are Mark Funderburke (Blue Hills); Scott Prince (Botetourt Country Club); Mark Humphreys (Countryside); Ted Comer (Hanging Rock); Marvin Thews (Hunting Hills); Greg Caldwell (Hidden Valley); David Lee (Ole Monterey); Chris Clemens (Roanoke Country Club); Dan Shervey (Waterfront) and Jim White (Water's Edge).

After the Champion of Champions tournament, which starts at 10:45 a.m., Zoeller will conduct what promises to be an entertaining clinic. The clinic will begin at approximately 5 p.m. and, in a change from past years, will be held on the 10th tee.

The tournament, which is sponsored by Carilion Health System, benefits the Virginia Affiliate of the National Society to Prevent Blindness.

Tickets for the 18-hole exhibition and clinic are $7.50. - Staff report
