OBIT CHRISTENSEN, ROGER LLOYD

CHRISTENSEN, Roger Lloyd, ("Chris"), 62, of Roanoke, died Saturday, September 18, 1993. He was retired from General Motors, an Army veteran, having served during the Korean conflict, and was a Commander in the Virginia Militia, a volunteer for the Easter Seal Society, a NASCAR lover and member of the Grandin Court Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sherry W. Christensen; his son, David T. Christensen of Tennessee; daughter, Lisbeth L. Butt of Maryland; his brother, Al Christensen; sister, Sharon Christensen, both of Illinois; and grandson, Christopher M. Butt; a dear friend, Polly, and beloved pet, Spooky. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel by Rev. Robert M. Hamner.
