DELLINGER, Esther Smith, 65, of Route 1, box 1645, Chase City, died Sunday,
September 19, 1993 at MCV Hospitals, Richmond. She is survived by her husband,
James F. Dellinger Sr.; two sons, James F. Dellinger Jr., Chase City, Ronald
D. Dellinger, Vinton; one daughter, Betty D. Elliott, Buffalo Junction; four
brothers, James E. Smith, Chase City, Jackson Smith, Virgilina, Walter C.
Smith, South Boston, William W. Smith, Richmond; three sisters, Bernice
Lester, Wylliesburg, Shirley S. Eastwood, Victoria, Gloria Smith, Chase City;
six grandchildren. Her remains rest at Bevell Funeral Service, Chase City,
where the family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight. She was a member
of Black Branch Baptist Church where services will be conducted 2 p.m.
Wednesday with the Rev. Claude Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the
church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Chase City Rescue Squad.
