Tanya Anne Hijazi, 23, had pleaded guilty in Superior Court to assault with a deadly weapon with intent to cause great bodily injury.

Her plea was related to charges against James, who was accused of attacking two women.

James was convicted last week of assaulting and holding one woman against her will. He is to be sentenced Oct. 8.

\ The mother of teen-age AIDS victim Ryan White says child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson shouldn't overshadow his good work for children.

"It's a shame in so many ways, including the fact that so many children in the world can benefit from Michael," Jeanne White-Ginder said.

A 13-year-old boy has said Jackson molested him. White-Ginder said she met the boy in July at Jackson's California ranch.

"I saw nothing out of the ordinary," she said. "Believe me, that young man was not afraid of Michael at all. He behaved just like a normal 13-year-old."

White-Ginder has been working with Jackson on a music video for "Gone Too Soon," a song about Ryan, who died in 1990.
