RADFORD WOMEN STAY UNBEATEN IN SOCCER

Sue Williams had a goal and an assist to lead Radford to a 3-0 victory over Liberty in Big South Conference women's soccer. It was the third shutout of the year for the Highlanders (5-0, 2-0).

In Blacksburg, UNC Asheville scored early and held on for a 2-1 victory over Virginia Tech in women's soccer.

Trisha Truman had the goal for the Hokies (4-2). UNC Asheville is 2-6.

In Harrisonburg, Kristen DiMillio had a goal and an assist to lead 12th-ranked Virginia to a 3-1 victory over James Madison in women's soccer.

Kim Conway and Jen Sweda also scored goals for the Cavaliers (3-2-0). Ashley Williamson had the goal for the Dukes (3-3-0).

Jody Moir has been named director of marketing and promotions for the Roanoke Valley Sports Club and will coordinate all club meetings.
