OBIT BLOUNT, CROWER O.

BLOUNT, Crower O., 79, of Vinton, died Monday, September 20, 1993, in a local hospital. He was an active member of the Mays Memorial Methodist Church in Stewartsville and was associated with Northwest Hardware for the past 46 years. Surviving are his wife, Louise O. Blount; two sons and daughters-in-law, Beverly C. and Jackie Blount, Vinton, David W. and Paula Blount, Troutville; four grandchildren, Sarah B. Martin, Raleigh, N.C., Laura E. Blount, Danna N. Blount, both of Blacksburg, Jeffrey M. Blount, Troutville; two brothers, Powell G. Blount, Pomaria, S.C., Percy Blount, Stewartsville; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Scott Siler and the Rev. Lee Chattin officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mays Memorial Methodist Church. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
