OBIT HOLCOMB, DOROTHY POLLARD

HOLCOMB, Dorothy Pollard, 84, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, September 21, 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was the widow of Homer S. Holcomb Sr. Surviving are one son, Homer S. Holcomb Jr. (Lee Garrett); daughter-in-law, Charlotte W. Holcomb; grandson, David L. Holcomb and wife, Sue; granddaughter, Sharon H. Thompson and husband, Mark; sister, L. Frances Pollard, all of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews, including John C. Liggan and wife, Phyllis, Elizabeth L. Baker, Roy Pollard Jr., all of Roanoke, Donald L. Pollard, Florida, LTC Monty G. Liggan, California. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday in Fair View Cemetery by the Rev. Robin L. Colwell. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
