OBIT SLOUGH, EDITH GEORGIA THACKER

SLOUGH, Edith Georgia Thacker, 82, of Buena Vista, died Monday, September 20, 1993, in Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center. She was born in Buena Vista on July 9, 1911, the daughter of the late Edward E. Thacker and Mabel Blackwell Thacker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Paxton Slough. She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a daughter, Linda S. Pharr, Dan Diego, Calif.; a sister, Esther T. West, Alexandria; a brother, Max L. Thacker, Crewe; a granddaughter, Edith Phyllis Pharr Harper, San Diego, Calif.; a grandson, Thomas Paxton Pharr, San Diego, Calif.; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
