WELLNESS CHALLENGE IS OCT. 9 IN RADFORD

The Radford Community Hospital's Wellness Center - in cooperation with Ruritan National and the Radford-Fairlawn Ruritan Club - will sponsor the eighth annual Wellness Challenge, Saturday, Oct. 9, starting at 10:30 a.m. in Bisset Park.

The entry fee is $10 before Oct. 1, and $12 after that, and long-sleeved T-shirts will be given to all who are registered by Oct. 1.

There is a 5K run or a 2.5K timed walk. Place awards will be given.

Fourth- through eighth-graders may run 2.5K in the youth division for a $7.50 entry fee ($10 after Oct. 1). Youth participants will get a short-sleeved T-shirt and a ribbon.

The entry deadline is Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. No registrations will be accepted the day of the race.
