NEWBERN FALL FESTIVAL PLANNED

The Newbern Fall Festival theme is "An Apple for the Day in Olde Newbern." Members of the Olde Newberne Foundation are soliciting food vendors to feature items like jellies, sauces, apple butter, baked apples and apple muffins for the Oct. 2 event.

Prizes will be awarded to the most unusual presentation of the apple as a basic material in arrangements. For more information, call 674-5853.
