OBIT MONROE, MARY ANN

MONROE, Mary Ann, 66, of Roanoke, formerly of Elliston, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 1993. She was educated in the Montgomery County School System and baptized at First Baptist Church in Elliston. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Betty Harrison, Mary and Jerome Stewart, Virginia Brown, Jessie and Denise Monroe, Terry and Tierny Monroe; one sister, Virginia West, all of Roanoke; one brother, Benjamin Monroe of N.Y.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Friday 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Park. Rev. Bobby Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
