OBIT TURNER, WILEY LEO SR.
TURNER, Wiley Leo Sr., 74, of Roanoke, died Monday, September 20, 1993. He
was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the VA Hospital. He was
preceded in death by one son, Larry Wayne Turner. Survivors include his wife,
Martha Ann Turner; four sons, Wiley L. (Priscilla) Turner Jr., Richard E.
(Virginia) Turner, Ronald L. (Caron) Turner, Michael A. Turner; stepmother,
Helen Turner all of Roanoke; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three
sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brown, Hattie (Fred) McCoy both of Roanoke; Annette
(James) Copkley, Detriot, Mich.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Glorious
Church of God in Christ, with Bishop M. T. Mitchell officiating. Interment in
Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8
p.m. at the church. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
