OBIT HEDRICK, JACOB HOUSTON

HEDRICK, Jacob Houston, 39, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, September 21, 1993. Mr. Hedrick was born in Pearisburg on July 3, 1954. He was an electrician for 17 years with Wolverine Gasket Company in Blacksburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Clark Hedrick. Surviving are his wife, Lois Howery Hedrick; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tracy Hedrick, Indiana, Tonya Hedrick, Blacksburg, Jean and John Oliver; one grandson, Tyler Oliver, all of Christiansburg; his mother, Martha Frazier, Blacksburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Kenneth Wygal, Union, W.Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall and Patricia Hedrick, A.C. and Connie Hedrick, all of Blacksburg; stepmother, Ruth Moye Hedrick, Lancing, W.Va.; stepsisters and stepbrothers-in-law, Shirley Jo and Gary Akers, Patty and Larry Marshall, Margaret Dunn, Ginger and Basil Madows; stepbrothers and stepsisters-in-law, Randy and Rebe Frazier, Benny and Geneva Moye, John and Vickie Moye, Buddy and Dana Moye. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 24, 1993, at Slusser's Chapel Church of God, with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Longshop-McCoy Rescue Squad, Box 489, McCoy, Va. 24111. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
