LOA OPENS OFFICE FOR CRAIG COUNTY RESIDENTS

A new office of the League of Older Americans has opened in New Castle to bring services of the agency closer to the people of Craig County.

The office, in the county social services building at Main and Court streets, will be open on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Margaret Linthicum, who also manages the agency's Botetourt County office in Eagle Rock, is the manager.

The office will provide case management services, scheduling for Meals-on-Wheels along with assistance with the league's other service for people 60 and older.

Kevin McCullough, director of public information for the league, said this is the first time the agency has had an office in Craig County.

The New Castle office telepohone is (703) 864-6031, and Linthicum also can be reached at the Eagle Rock office, (703) 883-2303, Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
