BOBCATS BITE VIKINGS FOR 1ST WIN

Radford got its first girls' basketball victory as Cathy Richardson and Charlee Taylor took turns doing a number on host Northside, winning 41-24 in a non-district game Thursday.

Cathy Richardson hit 10 of her game-high 16 points in the first half and Charlee Taylor made 10 of her 14 points in the second half for the Bobcats (1-8). The Vikings (3-4) had 11 points through the first three quarters. \ Glenvar 71\ Craig County 29

NEW CASTLE - The Highlanders led 37-14 at halftime and coasted to a Pioneer District victory over the Rockets (2-2). Three players had 14 or more points for Glenvar (3-1).

BUENA VISTA - Teresa Hickman led all scorers with 18 points as the Knights won a Pioneer District game. Kara Mundy added 17 points and Camille Arbogast had 10 for James River (2-5), which took control by holding the Blues to two points in the third quarter.
