LABOR GROUP TO HONOR 3

Former 6th District Rep. Jim Olin and two area labor leaders will be honored tonight at the 5th Annual Bread and Roses Labor Awards Dinner, sponsored by the Western Virginia Chapter of the Coalition of Labor Women.

Cited for their service to labor and to their community are Alma Lee, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1739 at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Frederick G. "Bud" Wright, of the Communications Workers of America Local 2204.

The labor women will give Olin, a Roanoke Democrat, their "Profiles in Courage" award for "his years of service, friendship, concern and commitment to the working men and women of the 6th District."
