OBIT CECIL, GORDON LEE

CECIL, Gordon Lee, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, September 23, 1993. He was a member of Connelly Memorial Baptist Church and was a retired engineer, Radford division, Norfolk Southern Corp. with 40 years service. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shirley C. Cecil; one son, Glenn E. Cecil; one sister, Mrs. Catherine C. Nichols; one brother, Robert L. Cecil, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 27, 1993, with the Rev. G. William Foster Jr. and Mr. Ralph E. Booth officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Saturday.
