Linda Karen Secrist and Roy Patrick Dwyer, Jr., were married September 25,
1993, at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church. Officiating clergymen were Fr.
Kenneth Stofft and Dr. Harry Y. Gamble. The reception was held at the Holiday
Inn-Central on Franklin Road. The matron of honor was Kathy S. Freites, of
Jacksonville, North Carolina, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christine
E. Santaniello, of Franklin Park, New Jersey, Deborah A. Dwyer, of Freehold,
New Jersey, sisters of groom, Jill M. McCurdy, of Springfield, Virginia,
Delilah T. Brabham, of Boones Mill, Virginia, Amy W. Elliott, of Salem, Va.,
and Dawna Clephus, of Alexandria, Va. Flower girl, Sara Ann Freites, was
escorted by Charles Preston Freites, niece and nephew of the bride. The best
man was Michael B. Dwyer, of Waretown, New Jersey, brother of the groom. The
ushers were John F. Dwyer, of Jackson, New Jersey, brother of the groom,
Joseph A. Dwyer, Jr., of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Dan Santaniello, of Franklin
Park, New Jersey, Johnny Freites, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, John
Bacsik, and Agustin Formoso, both of Manalapan, New Jersey. The ringbearer was
T.J. McCurdy, of Springfield, Va., cousin of the groom. Soloist was Tommy
London, and organist was Mark DuVall. Guestbook was attended by Gill Hundley.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charles F. Secrist, Jr., and the late Mr.
Secrist, of Roanoke. She is a graduate of The College of William and Mary and
holds a Masters Degree from Hollins College. The bride is employed by First
Union Corporation. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Patrick Dwyer, Sr.,
of Stockton, New Jersey, is a graduate of Montclair State College, Upper
Montclair, New Jersey. The bridegroom is employed by Allstate Insurance
Company. The newlyweds will live in Blue Ridge, Virginia, after a honeymoon in
Jamaica.
