GIBSON-TOLBERT

Tara K. Tolbert and Jackie R. Gibson were married on Friday, September 24, 1993, at Redwood United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Commer performed the ceremony. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church social hall catered by Creative Catering.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Patricia Tolbert of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and Gregory and Cheryl Underwood Schumacher of Eden, North Carolina. The groom is the son of John Gibson of Callaway, Virginia, and Joyce D. Gibson of Glade Hill, Virginia.

The maid of honor was Cyndi Tolbert of Richmond, Virginia, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Kim Underwood of Eden, North Carolina, aunt of the bride.

Best man was John Gibson, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Randall Harrison and Randy Arrington of Rocky Mount, friends of the groom.

The pianist was Lisa Hylton of Rocky Mount, and vocalists were Gayle Jamison and Bob Kornegay of Rocky Mount. The program and guestbook attendants were Erica Lawson and Tabitha Hudson, cousins of the bride. Wedding directors were Juanita Yarbrough and Brenda Akers, friends of the bride.

After a wedding trip in the Bahamas, the couple will live in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
