LANNING-HERNDON

Lynita Janelle Herndon and Jeffery Eric Lanning were united in marriage Saturday, September 25, 1993 at Bonsack Baptist Church. Frank P. Benson, III of Independence, Mo., uncle of the bride, officiated. The reception was held at the church fellowship hall.

Kendra Mayon of Steelton, Pa., friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lori Smith of Roswell, Ga., and Selena Thompson of Pensacola, Fla., both cousins of the bride. Jenifer Geiser, niece of the groom, was flowergirl.

Clarence Lanning served as his son's best man. The ushers were Johnny Lanning, brother of the groom; and Don Wilhelm, friend of the groom. Michael Geiser, nephew of the groom, was the junior groomsman.

The wedding was coordinated by Levita Benson, aunt of the bride. Photography was by Vince Miller Studios.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Herndon of Roanoke, and granddaughter of Ruth N. Herndon of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Wm. Byrd High School and attended VWCC. She is employed by Avis Rent-A-Car.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Lanning of Roanoke and grandson of Ed Mull of Waynesville, N.C. He is a graduate of Wm. Fleming High School and attended VWCC. He is employed by UPS.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke County after a trip to Orlando, Fla.
