OBIT MEADE, ALFRED THOMAS

MEADE, Alfred Thomas, 68, of Rt 1, Boones Mill, died Thursday, September 23, 1993. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Beckner Meade; son, Barry Lynn Meade, Roanoke; two grandchildren, Donna Lynn and Matthew Meade; three sisters, Bessie Sink, Marie Flora, Louise Belcher, all of Franklin County; brother, Harvey Meade, Stanleytown. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, September 27, 1993, at Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Va. with the Rev. Floyd Binns officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
