OBIT STANLEY, JERRY CARD
STANLEY, Jerry Card ("Bimbo"), 74, of Charlottesville, died Saturday,
September 25, 1993, at a local hospital. Born in Clintwood on January 1, 1919,
he was a son of the late Issac and Lannie Vandover Stanley. Mr. Stanley was
retired from the Virginia Workshop for the Blind where he had over 50 years of
service. Survivors include a loving companion, Lelia Shifflett of
Charlottesville; foster granddaughter, Pamela Smith of Scottsville; three
brothers, Virgil Stanley, Erman Stanley, both of Clintwood and Charles W.
Stanley Sr. of Bristol. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Monticello Memory Gardens with the Rev. Randy Blankenship
officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 Monday evening at the
Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville.
