DEMOCRATS PLAN OPEN HOUSE FRIDAY

An open house for Democratic Party House of Delegates candidate Jim Shuler will be held Friday, 5 p.m., during the official opening of the Montgomery County Democratic Party campaign headquarters, at the Lyric Theater downtown.

Del. Joan Munford and Sen. Madison Marye will attend. Board of Supervisors member Jim Moore, who's running for re-election, also will speak.

The Blacksburg Democratic headquarters will be open weekdays, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The telephone number is 552-9037.
