OBIT DEWEESE, CHARLES VALENTINE

DeWeese, Charles Valentine, 71, of Floyd, passed away Monday, September 27, 1993 at his home. He was retired from Old Virginia Brick Company after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gary DeWeese. Survivors include his wife, Marie Hylton DeWeese; one son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Mary DeWeese, Leckie, W.Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Jerry Long, Floyd; one grandson, Steven DeWeese, Leckie, W.Va.; six brothers, Woodrow DeWeese, Thurman DeWeese, Hubert DeWeese, Copper Hill, Harvey DeWeese, John DeWeese, Roanoke, Laymond DeWeese, Shawsville; three sisters, Violet Craighead, Lois Rock, Josephine Barksdale, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 29 at the Mayberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murray Agee officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
