OBIT BUSH, MARY ALICE

BUSH, Mary Alice, 80, of Lynchburg, died Monday, September 27, 1993, in a nursing home. She was born in Rockbridge County on October 17, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles H. Fox and Lillie Dudley Fox. She was a retired receptionist from Sweet Briar College. She was a very active member of the Amherst Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bush and a sister, Cassie Cash. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and John Lewis of Madison Heights; two sisters, Hester Spangler and Ruby Campbell, both of Buena Vista; a brother, Charlie Fox of Buena Vista; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
