OBIT REYNOLDS, MARTHA PAINTER
REYNOLDS, Martha Painter, 55, of Lexington, died Monday, September 27,
1993. She went to be with the Lord while at her residence. Mrs. Reynolds was
born in Rockbridge County on December 15, 1937, a daughter of Ernest Painter
of Lexington and the late Nettie Hall Painter. She was employed by Burlington
Industries in the Textile Department for 36 years, and was a member of the
Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, Lexington. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her nephew,
Mike McCormick, who made his home with Mrs. Reynolds; two sisters, Mrs. Walter
(Ann) Wilmore of Wytheville and Mrs. Cyrus (Edna) McCormick of Lexington;
three brothers, Edward Painter of Lexington, Calvin Painter of Staunton and
John Painter; three stepchildren, Sharon Holland of Lexington, Sharol Reynolds
of Harrisonburg and Arden Reynolds of Lexington; four stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 30, 1993, at 11 a.m. at
the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, Lexington, with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams
officiating, with burial to follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens,
Lexington. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the
Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, 300 South Main Street, Lexington, VA 24450. The
family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison
Funeral Home.
