VOTER SIGNUP DEADLINE APPROACHES

Monday at 5 p.m. is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 2 election or to make address changes.

Voter registration offices in the New River Valley are offering extended hours and off-site voter registration for area residents.

Montgomery County residents may register Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the registrar's office, Room 220, county courthouse, or at any of several locations.

The Montgomery County registrar's office also will be open Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

For absentee voters, the Montgomery County registrar's office will be open Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The last day to receive applications for mail ballots will be Oct. 28, and Oct. 30 is the last day for in-person absentee voting.

Pulaski County residents may register in the Voter Registration Office, 52 W. Main St., Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Absentee ballot applications will be accepted during regular office hours through 5 p.m. Oct. 30.

Radford residents may register at the registrar's office, Recreation Building, First Street, weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and at the Radford Public Library on First Street during regular library hours. The registrar's office also will be open Saturday, 8:30-5.

Absentee ballot applications will be accepted Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the registrar's office.
