OBIT MABRY, LUCILLE WOOD

MABRY, Lucille Wood, 84, of Lexington, died Monday, September 27, 1993, at the Ginter Hall South Adult Home in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Mabry was born in Amherst County, Va., on February 26, 1909, a daughter of the late Charlie M. and Willie Roberta Kent Wood. She was the widow of Elmer Winfield Mabry. She was a life member of the Manley Memorial Baptist Church, Lexington, and was the treasurer of the City of Lexington for many years. Mrs. Mabry is survived by a son, Oscar K. Mabry, Mechanicsville; one brother, Woodrow Wood, Glasgow, Va.; three sisters, Bimmie Faulkner, Glasgow, Kathleen Downey, Glasgow, Eleanor Huffman, Glasgow, and two grandchildren, Courtney and Candice Mabry. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 30, 1993, at 3:30 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. Thomas G. Harvey officiating with burial to follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery, Lexington. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
