OBIT MILLER, ROBERT WILLIAM
MILLER, Robert William , ("Bill"), 85, of Lexington, Va., died Monday,
September 27, 1993, at his residence. Mr. Miller was born in Rockbridge
County, Va., on March 25, 1908, a son of the late Joe and Carrie Flint Miller.
He was married to Margart F. Miller and was a member of the Oxford
Presbyterian Church, Lexington, and was a retired mechanic for Lexington Motor
Sales after 48 years service and also a farmer. In addition to his wife, he is
survived by two sons, Robert Miller Sr., Lexington, Charles W. Miller,
Lexington; five daughters, Alice Dudley, Lexington, Barbara Vess, Lexington,
Betty Kingery, Lexington, Shirley Dudley, Natural Bridge, Linda St. Clair,
Glasgow; three brothers, Joseph M. Miller, Roanoke, Va., Raymond E. Miller,
Roanoke, Va., Boyd J. Miller, Lexington; one sister, Virginia M. Sorrells,
Lexington; 15 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September
30, 1993, at 1 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Moore
officiating with burial to follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery,
Lexington. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lexington
Lifesaving Crew, the Effinger Fire Dept., or the Rockbridge Area Hospice. The
family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8 at the Harrison
Funeral Home, Lexington.
