MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS FEST PLANNED IN FLOYD

The Floyd County Multiple Sclerosis Fest to benefit the Suzanne O'Connell Fund will begin on Saturday. Rock 'n' roll music by about a dozen performers and groups will be played from noon to midnight at 7737 Conner Road, which is Virginia 649, in Copper Hill north of Floyd off U.S. 221.

Admission is $10 for advance tickets and $15 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased at Native Cotton, Record Exchange and D'Rose in Blacksburg.

On Oct. 3 from 1 to 6 p.m., the music performed by six groups or performers will be gospel and classical. Admission is free, and offerings will be accepted.
