OBIT DODGE, RAYMOND VINCENT
DODGE, Raymond Vincent, 81, of Radford, formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday
morning, September 29, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. He was retired
from Sherertz-Franklin-Crawford-Shaffner, Inc., and a former employee of
Richardson & Wayland, Co. as an electrical engineer and architect, and a 1933
graduate of Virginia Tech, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Radford.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Roberts Dodge. He is survived
by one daughter and son-in-law, Robert and Diana Jordan of Radford; one
sister, Maxine Dodge Rivers of West Chester, Pa.; three grandchildren, Jill
Allison Jordan of Falls Church, Constance Jordan Washam of San Diego, Calif.,
Robert Lee Jordan of Rota, Spain; two great-grandchildren. A graveside service
will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 1, 1993, from Evergreen Cemetery in
Roanoke, with the Rev. George Ducker officiating. A memorial service will
follow at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Radford. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Radford or the Liberty for
the Visually Handicapped, 1901 Roane Street, Richmond, Va. 23222. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the DeVilbiss
Funeral Home in Radford.
