OBIT HUNGATE, KATIE S.

HUNGATE, Katie S., 86, of South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, died Tuesday, September 28, 1993 in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband, J. Ralph Hungate; one daughter, Anne Baughan, Richmond; a son, John R. Hungate Jr., Saudi Arabia; a brother, Frank Shelton, Christiansburg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday from the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Vernon D. Miller with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon on Thursday and the family will receive friends in the church parlor from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Memorial Fund of the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 474, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne.
