TIBETAN MONKS OFFER SACRED MUSIC, DANCE

The mystical arts of Tibet will come to the Virginia Tech campus Tuesday when the monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery perform sacred music and dance. The performance is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Continuing Education Center on Otey Street.

The visit of the 10 Tibetan Buddhist monks, now relocated in refugee camps in India, is one of more than 100 throughout North America. It is sponsored by the Jefferson Tibetan Society of Charlottesville and Friends of Tibet.

General admission tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance. Tickets for students and seniors are $10 at the door or $8 in advance.
