AIDS SUIT ACCUSES HEMOPHILIA GROUP

Hemophiliacs sued five medical companies and the National Hemophilia Foundation on Thursday on behalf of thousands they said were infected with the AIDS virus because of HIV-tainted blood-clotting products.

The class-action lawsuit accuses the companies and the nonprofit foundation of providing or endorsing the products' use even after the defendants should have known they were tainted.
