`SUICIDAL' DRUG DEALER NABBED NEAR ST. LOUIS

A Northern Virginia man who faked his own death after being convicted of selling LSD to high school students was arrested Friday in suburban St. Louis. He allegedly had 18 pounds of marijuana in his possession.

Seth M. Ferranti, 22, had been on the U.S. Marshals' 15 most-wanted list since he failed to appear for sentencing in Alexandria in December 1991.

Ferranti's car, a suicide note and an empty vodka bottle had been found near falls on the Potomac River a month before his scheduled sentencing.

But authorities determined the apparent suicide was fake, and the Marshals Service formed a task force to search for Ferranti.
